Summary
The article "Resolving the Payment Application Issue" guides users on transferring G703 pay application data from ACD5 to Catina. It outlines steps to download, edit, and upload spreadsheets, ensuring seamless integration of payment data. Key processes include exporting Excel files and configuring G702 documents in Catina.
Process Overview
When starting a new pay application (pay app) for a project where previous pay apps were completed in ACD5, you can download a spreadsheet of your previous G703 and use that to create your next pay app in Catina. Follow these steps to transfer and update your data efficiently.
Accessing Previous Pay App Data in ACD5
- Log into ACD5
- Click on your project.
- Open the last G703 (we just need the continuation sheet. We do not need the G702)
- On the left-hand side, click "Download Draft". This action will trigger the download of an Excel version of your document to your computer. This file will be used in Catina.
- Open this downloaded G703 on your computer
(Now you need to go to Catina to get a template to move the data over)
Creating a New Pay App in Catina
- Log into Catina.
- Select the "Projects" tab.
- Create a new project or select an existing project.
- Include the project Value
- Click " +New Document".
- Select the "G702 Application and Certificate for Payment" and click "Configure".
- Name your document (Pay App2, 3, 4, etc) and add your project team as applicable
- Set your pay period date
- Include related document “Yes” – This is how you are going to link your G702 and G703 continuation sheet together as one payment process
- Start from previous pay app – No
- Retention settings – Fixed means every single line item gets the same retainage, Variable if you want to enter a specific retainage /per line item manually
Please Note: If you have retention listed on your G703 you will want to select Variable when configuring your new document in Catina, even if it is a fixed amount. Otherwise, when you import your Line Editor, it will wipe your retention amounts thinking that it only needs to be represented on the G702.
5. Then click "Create Document" and will open in the online editor
Some of the columns have changed and in a different order
Transferring Data from ACD5 to Catina
- Click "Export" to Export the Excel File". This will download an Excel version of the file.
Troubleshooting Tip: Prior to exporting your document, you will want to add as many rows as needed for your continuation sheet. It is better to have more than you need since you cannot add rows within Excel. To do so, click the Add Row button, type in as many rows as you need, then click the arrow to apply.
2. Use the data from the latest ACD5 pay app to copy and paste the relevant fields into the correct spots in the new Excel document.
