Summary
You might notice a few changes while working within the Catina Platform. We made some updates based on your direct user feedback. This article outlines the usability changes that were released on January 7th, 2026 to make it easier and more intuitive to navigate while working within Catina.
Main Navigation
We made a few changes to the Main Navigation side bar to make things easier to find and access:
Projects
The subfolder "Migrated Projects" is now called "ACD5 Projects". This is still where you'll go to initiate the migration of any ACD5 projects into Catina.
Documents
We changed the subfolder "AIA Documents" to "Documents" and is still where you can access all documents within the Catina platform.
The subfolder "Migrated Documents" is now "ACD5 Stored PDFs". This is where all finalized PDFs from ACD5 have been automatically migrated for you, allowing you access to any historical data post migration. You can download any of these PDFs for your reference.
Templates
We simplified the folders found under Templates and removed the "Offline Templates" subfolder. Now all custom templates will be stored within the "Custom Templates" subfolder. Custom templates created in Catina can be identified via the small icon with the green ribbon or the left under file type. These documents can be edited online. Custom templates created offline are identified via a Microsoft Word logo and have a File Type of "Word”.
Under the templates tab, we updated the "Migrated Templates" subfolder to "ACD5 Custom Templates". Here you will find all custom templates used within the ACD5 platform with the ability to migrate into Catina.
Projects Tab
We also simplified the Project Files navigation found within the Projects Tab, making it easier to find what you are looking for within your project. We changed "AIA Documents" to just "Documents" and removed the "Upload" folder. Now all project related documents will be stored in the Documents folder with distinguishing icons. Any previously uploaded file will be accessible in this updated Documents tab.
For any projects that were migrated from ACD5, we also removed the "All Files" folder and combined this with the new "Documents" subfolder, putting all your documents in one easy to access spot.
