Summary:
We are excited for you to experience the new Catina platform. This document will guide you through the Catina Migration process - how to log in, what to expect, how to migrate any previous data from ACD5, and ensure you feel set up for success!
How to Log in
- Accessing Catina is simple. You can go to catina.aiacontracts.com and log in using your existing ACD5 credentials.
What You Will See When You First Log In
- All finalized documents from ACD5, including project details, will be migrated to Catina automatically. These are located under Stored ACD5 PDFs for you to download and reference anytime you need.
- Your ACD5 address book will already be loaded into Catina, ready to use with your first project.
- Existing projects within ACD5 and custom templates will listed be available to migrate. To learn more check out the sections below.
Migrating Your ACD5 Projects
We have made the process of bringing over any ACD5 projects easy and simple. To migrate your projects:
- On the left-hand toolbar you will see a tab named Projects. If it is not visible already, click the arrow to open up the sub-folders and select ACD5 Projects.
- Here you will find any project created within ACD5 with the ability to migrate into the Catina platform.
- To select specific projects to migrate, hover over the black file folder to display the selection box. Select any projects you want to migrate and then click migrate selected.
-
To migrate all projects, click the Migrate All button at the top.
Please note, depending on the number of projects you have, it could take up to 24 hours for these to appear in your My Projects folder. However, there is no need to wait around, you can continue working or even exit out of Catina while this process takes place.
- You will see a green pop up at the bottom of the screen when a project has finished migrating and it will be displayed on the My Projects folder for you to pick up where you left off.
Pro Tip: Looking for a specific project? You can use the search bar to narrow down the list.
Once you have migrated a project, the table will populate with the migrated attempts, migrated by, and last migrated data. This allows you to keep up with what projects have been migrated and ensure your Catina platform is up to date.
Migrating Your Custom Templates
If you have any custom templates that are uploaded and used within your ACD5 account, you can quickly migrate those into your Catina platform. To do so:
- Select the Template tab on your left-hand toolbar. From the dropdown menu, select ACD5 Custom Templates.
- Here you will find any custom templates from your ACD5 account.
- To migrate a specific custom template, click the migrate button under the status bar. You can also migrate more than one at the same time by hovering over the document icon to display the selection box. Then click Migrate.
-
You can use the status bar to monitor the process of the migration, and when complete you will receive a green pop up at the bottom of the screen.
Pro Tip: No need to wait around, you can continue working or even exit out of Catina while this process takes place.
- Once complete, the template will be removed from the ACD5 Custom Template folder and be visible on the Custom Template folder, ready to continue editing or use within a project.
When should I migrate my projects?
You can begin migrating whenever you feel ready, but we highly recommend waiting until you hit a good stopping point in ACD5 to migrate that project over. This reduces the chance of missing data or having duplicate projects.
I started working in Catina but I didn’t migrate my ACD5 data. Is it too late?
It is not to late to migrate! You can use the steps above to migrate any previous ACD5 projects or custom templates. Once you hit your migrate date, you will have 90 days of read access to ACD5 allowing you to finish up any migration within Catina or download any data you need.
I started the migration process but never finished. How to I start back up?
We have improved the migration process by adding migration data after each attempt to easily identify what has been migrated and when. When you visit the ACD5 Projects folder under the Projects tab, you can quickly see how many times you have migrated a project, who was the last attempt by, and what date.
If you want to start back up the migration process, select each project that does not have a migration attempt or any you would like to bring over, then click Migrate Selected. You can also use the Migrate All button at the top to trigger a migration of every ACD5 project, however it is important to note this will cause duplicates of any previously migrated projects. To remove duplicates, you can navigate to the my projects tab and select any project you would like to delete or archive.
I migrated a project from ACD5, but I continued working on that project within ACD5. What do I do?
If you have a project you already migrated, but continued working within ACD5, there are two options. 1) you can keep the old Catina project and just migrate over a duplicated version. 2) You can delete the Catina project and migrate over the latest version from your ACD5 Projects folder.
Do I have to migrate everything at once?
No. Migration is not all-or-nothing. You can choose which projects to migrate and when. Many customers migrate gradually based on workload and deadlines.
I logged into Catina, but nothing migrated. What happened?
Projects do not migrate automatically. “Migrated Projects” is a list of eligible projects, not completed migrations.
To migrate:
- Go to Projects → ACD5 Projects
- Select up to five projects
- Click Migrate Selected
Nothing is lost—your access remains intact.
Do I have to migrate old or archived projects?
No. Many customers choose to start fresh in Catina and leave older projects in ACD5.
