Synopsis.
AIA Document G729-2024, Owner’s Response to Request for Evidence of Owner’s Financial Arrangements, is used by the Owner in responding to a Contractor’s request for proof that the Owner has made sufficient financial arrangements to meet its obligations under the Contract. The form allows for the Owner to disclose financial arrangements in the form of Construction Loans, Equity Financing, Governmental Funding, Self-Funding, and Other.

Completing G729-2024.
Project Financing. Select the checkbox next to each source of financing for which the Owner has available to meet its obligations under the Contract. For each source selected, insert the total amount of funding from that source and complete the corresponding section.
Construction Loan. Insert in the blanks provided the information for each Construction Loan available to fulfill the Owner’s obligation under the Contract.
Equity Contributions. Insert in the blanks provided the information for any Equity Contributions available to fulfill the Owner’s obligation under the Contract.
Government Funding. Insert in the blanks provided the information for any Government Funding available to fulfill the Owner’s obligation under the Contract.
Self-Funded. Use the table provided to describe and state the amount of all funds controlled exclusively by the Owner and available to fulfill the Owner’s obligation under the Contract.
Other. Use the table provided to describe and state the amount of all other financial arrangements or assets available to fulfill the Owner’s obligation under the Contract.
Confidentiality. By default, the G729 labels all information and supporting documentation submitted to the Contractor as confidential. The blank provided can be used by the Owner to specifically identify any documents or information that is not confidential.
Executing the document. The Owner should execute the document once it has completed the applicable sections to the best of its knowledge and compiled any necessary supporting documentation. If the Contractor has requested that the document be notarized, the Owner should use the space provided below its signature for the notary to affix their stamp and seal.
Notes.
Modifications. Particularly with respect to professional or contractor licensing laws, building codes, taxes, monetary and interest charges, arbitration, indemnification, format and font size, AIA Contract Documents may require modification to comply with state or local laws. Users are encouraged to consult an attorney before completing or modifying a document.
