Synopsis.
AIA Document G808-2017 can be used by the architect to record pertinent information about the project throughout design and construction. The architect can use G808 to (a) maintain a directory of project participants, (b) record code information and calculations, and (c) track regulatory approvals. G808 should be completed piece by piece as a project progresses and should be periodically reviewed to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the information. Using G808–2017.
AIA Document G808 provides the Architect a place to record the following kinds of information about the project:

- A directory of project participants, including members of the owner’s team, the architect’s team, and the contractor’s team.

- Owner and architect provided information and documents.

- Information related to building code compliance, such as required approvals, applicable codes, parking calculations, separation ratings, plumbing fixtures calculations, and egress information.

- Dates and particulars of critical approvals and reviews, including approvals required of the owner for advancement of the project.

- Fundamental results of zoning ordinance and building code analyses. The Architect may append graphic supplements, such as zoning envelope and life safety diagrams. When completed and affixed to contract documents submitted for review, this portion of the G808 may help fulfill documentation requirements mandated by building departments.

Important.
Modifications. Particularly with respect to professional or contractor licensing laws, building codes, taxes, monetary and interest charges, arbitration, indemnification, format and font size, AIA Contract Documents may require modification to comply with state or local laws.
