Catina's New Editor is Temporarily Under Construction
Catina’s New Editor will be offline for agreements while we rebuild it. All other Catina features remain available. You can still create projects, download your custom templates, edit forms and pay applications, and more. While Catina is offline for the next few weeks, here's everything you need to continue editing and finalizing your documents.

Finalizing Your Agreement in the Catina Editor
Finalizing creates the official version of your agreement and gets it ready for signatures. Before you finalize, review the draft PDF, confirm your signers' names and email addresses, and choose Clean or Comparative markup. Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the New Editor offline?
We’re rebuilding it. It works for most users, but not every time, especially with custom templates and contracts with lots of changes. You need it to work consistently for even the most complex documents, so we’re bringing it back when it does.
The New Editor worked fine for me. Why take it away?
We can’t predict which documents will run into trouble, so we can’t turn it off for just some users. We’d rather pause it for everyone than have it fail in the middle of your project.
How long will it be down?
Our goal is to release the repair within a few weeks, sooner if we can. It comes back when it works well across use cases.
How do I create agreements now?
The same way you always have. Start a new agreement in Catina just like before. The only change comes when you need to edit the text. New workflows will easily guide you to take the document offline and how to bring it back online for finalization.
How do I edit my agreements?
In Microsoft Word, in three steps:
-
Download your agreement from Catina as a Word file (.docx) using the Edit Offline button in the top right.
-
Edit it in Microsoft Word.
-
Upload the Word file back to Catina for finalization.
How do I finalize my agreement?
Almost the same as before. Upload your edited Word file to Catina for finalization, then finish the way you always have. The quick video above shows you how, or read more in our finalization article.
Does this affect both agreements and forms?
No. Catina’s New Editor has been turned off for agreements. Documents using the legacy editor can still be edited online. Additionally, the Forms experience is not impacted. You can edit forms such as Change Orders and Substantial Completion, and Pay Apps online without any changes to your workflow.
What kind of problems were people having?
Some edits didn’t save. A document would refresh and lose recent changes, or show a message that collaboration couldn’t be restored. In some cases, a contract came out with duplicated or scrambled text. The problems showed up most in complex edits, custom templates, and contracts with lots of changes.
What help can you give me?
Three kinds:
-
A walkthrough. We’ll show you how to create, edit, and finalize without the online editor.
-
A rebuild. If a document came out wrong, we’ll rebuild it for you.
-
A hand with finalizing. We’ll go through finalization with you, or do it for you.
