Import Offline Documents
- Documents that were created within Catina can be imported directly from the main documents page.
- Select the import button
- Upload the document by dragging and dropping the file or browse to locate the desired file within your computer. Please note that PDF’s are not supported at this time.
- Select Next to complete the process.
- You will receive a notification that the import of an AIA Contract Document was successful.
- If the import was not successful you will receive an error message letting you know that the upload failed. At this time only documents generated from Catina are able to be uploaded back into the online platform.

Next, you have the ability to rename the document.
- Select or search for a project that you would like to upload the document to, or you can create a new project.
- If a new project is needed, you can select “+ New Project” then enter the project details (the * are required fields).

1. Can I upload PDFs to Catina?
No, PDFs are not supported for uploading into Catina at this time. Only documents generated from Catina can be re-imported into the platform.
2. What should I do if I encounter an error while uploading a document?
If the upload fails, you will receive an error message. Ensure that the document was originally created in Catina and is in the correct format. If the issue persists, double-check the file and try again or contact support.
3. Can I upload a document to a new project?
Yes, during the import process, you can create a new project by selecting the “+ New Project” option and filling out the required details (* fields). After creating the project, you can upload your document to it.
4. Can I import AIA / ACD5 documents into Catina?
No, you cannot. Our product team has this on the roadmap.
