Architectural consultant agreements

The following documents may be used where the Architect retains an Engineer, Landscape Architect, another Architect, or any other Consultant for professional design services:

 

• C401™–2017, Standard Form of Agreement Between Architect and Consultant. This document has been developed to be suitable for use with all types of Consultants, including consulting architects.

• C402™–2018, Standard Form of Agreement Between Architect and Consultant for Special Services. This document has been developed for Consultant’s services that are limited in scope and/or do not extend to the construction phase of the Project (formerly C727™–1992).

• C421™–2018, Standard Form of Master Agreement Between Architect and Consultant for Services provided under multiple Service Orders. This master agreement has been developed for ongoing services to be provided under multiple service orders (C422). It is suitable for use with all types of Consultants, including consulting architects.

• C422™–2018, Service Order for use with Master Agreement Between Architect and Consultant. This service order has been developed to be attached to the master agreement (C421). It is suitable for use with all types of Consultants, including consulting architects.

• C441™–2014, Standard Form of Agreement Between Architect and Consultant for a Design-Build Project. This document has been developed to be used with all types of consultants, including consulting architects, and may be used with a variety of compensation methods on a design-build project.
