Discontinuation of Non-Editable Documents: FAQ

Why are non-editable documents going away?

We find most of our customers choose to use the editable version of our documents due to the flexibility they provide. While the non-editable purchase option has been a staple offering for quite some time, the platform that supports it does not render an ideal user experience, which is the primary factor driving this change. State-specific documents in the non-editable format, however, will continue to be available.

Will I still be able to access my non-editable documents that were purchased before January 2nd?

Yes. While you can no longer purchase new documents in the non-editable format, you will maintain normal access to any non-editable document purchases made before January 2nd.

What are my options for purchasing documents after January 2nd?

Our editable contracts and forms will remain available for single, one-time use, or as part of an unlimited annual subscription. Our editable contract template includes added flexibility to meet your specific business needs, including the ability to easily change legal terms and parameters to satisfy the requirements set forth by the insurance and bonding companies tied to your various projects. You can also edit, save, and share a working draft before generating a final document. In addition, the editable template gives you the ability to import calculations and add images, allowing you to build a more appealing, robust document.

Who do I contact if I have a question?

If you have any questions about this change, please contact us at support@aiacontracts.com, or call 1-800-942-7732, Option 1.
